Try to be done eating all your meals at least 3-4 hours before you put your body to rest. I say rest and not bed because the body doesn’t know the difference between a bed and a couch! So if all is done and the day’s work has come to an end, and you plop down on the couch for a little TV time, DON’T START SNACKING!!!!! It’s the same as laying in the bed and eating, and we all know what that does to our stomach!! Why 3-4 hours you ask? Well it takes approx. that much time to digest the food and allow it to pass through the body, keeping what it needs, and releasing what it doesn’t. Of course we all have moments of weakness, causing us to slip up. When this happens, don’t beat yourself up about it! Instead plan on hitting the gym the next day for a little extra cardio in you quest to Keep Fit!!!
